What Sings For You In 2026?
A reflection on cycles, callings, and the songs that lead us forward.
Yesterday, while out on a walk, it suddenly struck me that we are already more than a month into the new year. Of course, I know it’s February — but this realization landed differently. When you’re young, a year stretches on endlessly; as we grow older, time seems to fold in on itself, the years passing in a blink.
If you’re reading this, there’s a good chance you’re sensitive, empathic, or otherwise attuned to the subtle — yet rapidly shifting — energies moving through the world right now. Perhaps you’re feeling the early stirrings of awakening. Whatever your path, it’s fair to say the last few years have been heavy ones.
And yet, I sense a shift coming.
The year ahead feels lighter. Easier. Like the first clear breath after a long contraction. Numerologically, 2026 marks the beginning of a new cycle. When we add the digits together — 2 + 0 + 2 + 6 — we arrive at 10, and then 1 + 0 brings us to One.
A year of beginnings.
The last time we stood at the threshold of a One year was 2017. For me, that period was marked by profound change. In 2016, much of my life completely unraveled. By the end of 2017, I had made the long-considered decision to pack up and move across the country. I had felt the pull for years, but it was only then that the Universe stepped in and gave me the final nudge out the door.
Now here we are again — one cycle closing, another opening — and it feels like an invitation to take stock. To notice where we stand, where we’re being drawn, and where we most deeply long to go.
For me, there is much in motion. Most significantly, The Resonant Archive has just been born. If you’re reading this sometime in the future — hello. I hope the Archive is flourishing and offering you the resonance, remembrance, and support you need on your journey. As I write this, it is only a few days old, and I have no idea what shape it will take even a month from now. I am learning to trust the unfolding.
Alongside this new creation, I’ve been listening closely to another call — one that has been singing to me for the past year.
That call comes from Ireland.
Have you ever felt drawn to a place you’ve never been? For me, this longing feels both new and ancient. I’ve always wanted to visit — and if I’m being honest (and giggling as I write this), I’ve always carried a soft dream of being with an Irish man. But these longings were tucked away for years, until something reawakened them. Last year, a song began to rise — one that felt unmistakably meant for me.
Ireland sings in a way that reaches straight into my heart, stirring dreams I’d forgotten I once held. Though I’ve never set foot there, I sense that once I do, I may never truly want to leave. Until I take the steps required to make that pilgrimage real, I’m tending the ache by immersing myself in Irish myth and story. Some of these tales resonate more deeply than others, echoing something familiar in my bones.
Because The Resonant Archive is a living space of sound and story, I’ve decided to begin writing and recording my own retellings of these myths. I’m only at the beginning of this process, but March feels like an especially aligned time for Irish stories. These offerings will live on my YouTube channel and will be freely available — an open hearth, a shared listening.
As we stand at the edge of this new cycle, I invite you to listen as well. What place is calling to you? What story is beginning to stir? What song is quietly singing for you in 2026?
May we all have the courage to follow what resonates — one gentle note at a time.
